Marco Ono ushers in the New Year on Skiptrace with a masterful blend of chunky basslines, hypnotic melodies and fine tuned instrumentation.

The title track, A Prayer Before Dawn takes you to church and back on a Sunday morn with its powerful organ, slappy bass and gut wrenching guitar solo.

Afterhours flips this on its head, its electronic bass and walking lead make the song just as much at home in the ear yours of the morning on a dace floor, as it is playing out of your headphones on a walk through town.

Shooter’s Shoot bring a return to Marco’s fine use of instrumentation, the trumpets bring a sense of fanfare to his final act of the EP. The Braga Circuit flip of this tune bring a more understated and deep vibe to the song, this is definitely a song to watch out for as the year rolls on and the sun shines once again. Definitely one for sunny afternoons.
